price-chopperInmar has been selected by The Golub Corporation to manage the digital coupon program for the Price Chopper Supermarkets AdvantEdge Card shopper loyalty program. Inmar took over digital coupon operations from Zavers on December 1. As a result of this change, Price Chopper will be able to access Inmar’s nationwide, open network and provide shoppers with offers from the best-known and most popular brands in the country.

“We are very excited about the enhancements being made to our e-Coupons program through our collaboration with Inmar,’ says Heidi Reale, Director of Shopper and Digital Marketing. “The greater availability of more attractive offers, the improved functionality of our coupon portal and the increased efficiency of our digital coupon program are all going to advance Price Chopper’s efforts to deliver an outstanding and distinctively different shopping experience to our customers,” adds Reale.

Shoppers visiting the Price Chopper website can expect to have access to, on average, 150+ digital coupons at any given time. Loyalty program members will be able to load as many offers to their cards as they desire — the previously established limit of 99 “clipped” coupons was eliminated as of December 1. In addition, a new search function on the website will make it easy for shoppers to seek out specific products and find offers for those products they want to buy.

Despite the size of the Price Chopper conversion project, Price Chopper, Inmar and Mercatus Technologies were able to complete implementation of the new system on schedule. There was no coupon portal “down time” during the transition and no interruption of service to shoppers or for the retailer. At the same time, this accelerated system conversion puts Price Chopper in the unique position of being the first retailer – among Zavers’ former clients – to transition to a new digital coupon partner.
