Inmar Intelligence proudly gathered with other health, retail, and technology leaders for the 2025 Nourishing Change Conference in Cincinnati. As a thought leader in this space, we know this convergence of minds was more than just an event, but a movement committed to rethinking how wellness is delivered, where the pharmacy meets the grocery aisle, and where behavioral science meets business strategy.

OUR PURPOSE: WHY THIS CONVERSATION MATTERS NOW

Hosted by Kroger Health, the 2025 Nourishing Change Conference highlighted a shared urgency: transforming America’s healthcare system to be more holistic, preventive, and accessible. Inmar is uniquely positioned to support this shift by connecting data, shopper behavior, and personalized engagement for real world impact.

Rob Weisberg at Adweek House Miami 2025 This message was powerfully conveyed by Rob Weisberg, EVP & President of MarTech at Inmar, who introduced the mainstage panel “The State of the Solution” by emphasizing the need for stronger collaboration across food, pharmacy, and healthcare. He highlighted Inmar’s 38-year partnership with Kroger and our national footprint, which includes deep partnerships with more than 850 retailers, 2,400 CPG brands, and a presence in over 90% of U.S. hospitals. This expansive reach enables us to connect healthcare and retail data in ways that turn everyday shopping behaviors into meaningful health insights. His remarks set the stage for a session focused on scaling prevention through operational, regulatory, and clinical collaboration.

A core theme of the event was the rise of Food as Medicine, positioning nutrition as a strategic tool for improving health outcomes. Inmar enables this movement through targeted outreach, incentive programs, and insights that link grocery habits to wellness goals. From dynamic health media campaigns to HIPAA-compliant, omnichannel messaging platforms, we bring together retailers, brands, and payers to make health more personalized and actionable.

OUR PRESENCE: SHOWING BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE IN ACTION

Inmar’s EVP & President, Healthcare, Brian Nightengale joined the breakout panel “The Art & Science of Behavioral Shifts” to explore how behavioral data is reshaping consumer health journeys.

Moderated by Alex Trott of 84.51°, the panel brought together leaders from retail strategy, CPG, and health technology to answer a central question: How can we influence healthier behavior at scale?

On stage, Brian was joined by fellow industry experts Amy Bucher, Chief Behavioral Officer and Co-Director of the Behavioral Reinforcement Learning Lab (BReLL) at Lirio, and Stephanie Craig, Director of Behavioral Science and Retail Strategy at P&G. Together, they discussed how integrating behavioral science, real-time data, and trust can meaningfully shift consumer health behaviors and outcomes at scale.

Brian illustrated this by explaining how Inmar connects front-of-store retail data with pharmacy interactions to reveal high-value behavioral patterns. For example, although only 4.7% of grocery shoppers currently use the pharmacy, those who do are 2.5x more valuable. Recognizing habits such as consistently purchasing low-sugar foods enables Inmar to deliver personalized engagement, including flu shot reminders paired with grocery incentives. Even a 0.1% boost in pharmacy conversions could generate $30 million in annual revenue, highlighting the financial impact of data-informed personalization.

He also emphasized the critical role of trust, both in data and in the people delivering care. Pharmacists see consumers 14 times more often than primary care providers and are uniquely positioned to reinforce health behaviors. When data-driven messages are supported by trusted human interactions, engagement significantly improves.

Finally, Brian shared how behavior-based incentives, such as heart-healthy grocery coupons after a vaccination or gamified chronic care programs, can encourage better health decisions. These timely and personalized rewards meet consumers in their most receptive moments, leading to stronger adherence and long-term engagement.
