Inmar's Jonathan Allen Named Outstanding Young Professional

Jonathan Allen, AV-IT Manager for Inmar, has been selected as one of 20 winners of the Winston Under 40 Leadership Award for 2017. The Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce and their young professional program, Winston Under 40, convey the Leadership Awards on outstanding young professionals who are actively influencing the growth, prosperity and quality of life in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.

Winners were selected from more than 150 nominations and 66 in-depth applications. This year's winners stem from a number of varied backgrounds, including higher education, legal, construction, healthcare and technology.

Nearly every day, Inmar welcomes the largest CPG and healthcare brands and retailers to its headquarters in Wake Forest University Innovation Quarter and other offices. The technology used to demonstrate capabilities and connect with locations anywhere in the world must execute flawlessly. Jonathan's commitment to continuous learning and exceptional technical skills are crucial to Inmar's business and continued growth.

"At Inmar we are guided by five values that center on integrity, teamwork, innovation, positive energy and continuous improvement," says David Mounts, Chairman and CEO, Inmar. "Jonathan exemplifies these values, in my observation, in every area of his life."

Allen also received an Inmar Whitaker Award in 2012. Named for founder and former CEO, John C. Whitaker, Jr., this prestigious award is presented each year to four Inmar team members who go above and beyond to bring Inmar's values to life. He also is active in Young Leaders United for United Way and is a member of Inmar's Emerging Leaders affinity group — in addition to playing drums in Inmar's corporate band. In 2016 he earned an MBA from Wake Forest University and is active in his church community.

Winners of the Winston Under 40 Leadership Awards will be honored at an awards reception on October 5 and will be featured in a special section of The Winston-Salem Journal that will be published in its October 8 edition.
