The American Productivity & Quality Center (APQC) Selects CLS as A Best-Practice Partner

Winston-Salem, NC, July 19, 2007 Carolina Logistics Services (CLS) has been selected as one of the nation's best-practice partners in the American Productivity & Quality Center (APQC) study on Reverse Logistics: Practices that Matter. 

Founded in 1977, APQC is a member-based nonprofit that provides all industries benchmarking and best-practice research for approximately 500 organizations worldwide.  To be a Best-Practice Partner in an APQC Consortium Benchmarking Study, an organization must exhibit exceptional performance or employ innovative or uncommon solutions to common problems. 

To qualify for this honor, CLS prepared an extensive reverse logistics best practices presentation that was shared with members of the committee that was comprised of industry leaders from the APQC and the WERC (Warehousing and Education Research Council). From this presentation, a case study was prepared on the key initiatives that were considered reverse logistics best practices in the areas of managing returns, returns policy development and administration, asset recovery, and returns prevention of unnecessary returns.
