WINSTON-SALEM (September 18, 2006) -- Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. has contracted Carolina Services/PRISM to provide third-party pharmacy accounts receivable solutions. Wegmans had specific objectives in selecting a pharmacy A/R solution that included: manage increasing, complex claims volume; reduce manual re-work with exception reporting and workflow; improve receivables aging visibility; provide an accurate collection of monies due Wegmans from third-party payers; and deliver robust ad hoc reporting and trend analysis.

Wegmans evaluated software development companies, third-party reconciliation services and seriously considered building a system internally. After a thorough review of options, Wegmans selected PRISM. Wegmans has been actively involved in the development and testing of the new PRISM Spectrum web-based application. In November 2006 Wegmans transition will be complete. PRISM met all of Wegmans business requirements and gave them the opportunity to focus internal resources on other key initiatives.
