SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Work with project stakeholders, and/or business analysts to gather requirements
-
Have a good understanding of data flows and business rules; documenting them, asking questions to clarify how systems work
-
Responsible for system architecture; addressing complexity, performance, and supportability
-
Define software design using solid RDBMS, data architecture and object-oriented practices
-
Design and develop solutions that are high-performing and extendable on a global scale
-
Create, alter and de-bug SSIS packages, T-SQL functions, T-SQL Stored Procedures, T-SQL Views, CLR Functions, and CLR Stored Procedures
-
Develop and provide system documentation as needed
-
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with all levels of employees and management is required
-
Demonstrate good teamwork and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff members
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and 5+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Strong understanding of SQL Server 2005
-
Thorough understanding of SQL Server SSIS development
-
Thorough understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services
-
Proven ability to work in a demanding, high paced environment
-
Ability to develop and maintain effective communication
-
Understanding of systems analysis and design (hardware, software, policies, procedure and data)
-
Ability to learn new hardware systems, programming languages and business processes quickly via varied mediums (verbal instruction, technical reading and immersion training)

Good technical and professional communication skills, both written and oral

Ability to effectively train new technologies to technical employees as well as explain the core concepts to non-technical employees

Ability to work on multiple priorities involving different skill sets simultaneously
